Medical Interpreters & Translators Association

Welcome to the Medical Interpreters & Translators Association. MITA was founded in 1993 to promote the interests of medical communications specialists working between English and Japanese.

MITA holds monthly meetings in Tokyo, at which members give presentations and hold discussions on topics of interest to medical communications specialists in a variety of fields, including translation, editing, interpreting, and education. Upcoming meetings are announced on this website. To get an idea of recent topics, please take a look at reports of past meetings.
